A Bit About Me
Hello!

My name is Jamie, and I was born in Yorkshire, England, and moved to Canada with my parents and brother when I was 10. I’ve always loved creating fictional worlds - whether through drawing maps, reading novels, or building entire universes in Minecraft.
My first murder mystery experience was a few years ago - a pirate-themed game from a box. I hosted it, and everyone had an amazing time doing it, but we found ourselves wanting something more individualised and in‑depth, and where everybody had an important role to play in the plot.
What actually kick‑started my writing journey was when someone in our group tried creating a murder mystery using AI. Honestly, it was great fun - but also a bit of a disaster!
That experiment sparked something. We realised we could write a better one.
For several years, we built and ran intricate murder mysteries for our friend group with great success, taking it in turns to create and write them, usually in small groups. Some of my best memories are of having fun with friends coming up with unique and often very out of the box plot points (think secret vampires, surprise wedding-crashers, and mysterious family secrets). However, the versions I moderated were complex and layered - and I always knew all the answers.
So we began writing differently.
We carefully redesigned our games so that the host can fully participate, while still preserving the intrigue, hidden motives, and individual objectives that make murder mysteries unforgettable.
And that’s how we got here.

I love to travel and have been lucky to visit quite a few different countries at this point. We visit family in England often, and that makes it easy to travel to Europe. Current wish list countries are Kenya, Japan, and Costa Rica. But honestly, the list is much longer than that!
I also love playing games of any kind, cooking creative and delicious (I hope!) meals with family and friends, and attending pub quizzes at different locations around town (our team doesn't usually win, but we can manage third place sometimes!)
